CENTENARY CELEBRATION
Accra High School is gearing up to celebrate its 100th anniversary in August 2023. To ensure that the celebration is a success, the school has formed a 38-member Centenary Planning Committee. The committee will be responsible for planning and organizing the events and activities for the centenary celebration.
In August 2022, the Vice-President of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, visited the school premises to unveil the official logo for the anniversary. The logo features the school’s name and the number “100” in bold, eye-catching font, symbolizing the school’s rich history and achievements over the past century.
The school is eagerly anticipating the participation of its alumni in the centenary celebration. With the help of the Centenary Planning Committee, the school hopes to bring together alumni from across the globe to reconnect with each other and celebrate their shared history and experiences at Accra High School.
The centenary celebration is expected to be a year-long grand affair, featuring a wide range of events and activities. From alumni reunions and sporting tournaments to cultural festivals and academic conferences, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
